shockwave therapy
All of our Podiatrists at 2 Right Feet are qualified to implement shockwave therapy as part of a treatment plan to provide faster pain relief and mobility improvement.
Shockwave is an acoustic wave of high energy that is being sent directly into a painful or sore spot of muscular tissue or tendon, to promote blood flow, and regeneration of damaged tissue.
Shockwave Therapy is most effective for:
Plantar fasciitis (plantar heel pain)
Heel spurs or plantar fibromas
Chronic tendinopathies
Shin splints
The amount of treatments vary for each case, however the average recommended amount is 4-5 sessions on an initial weekly basis to help jumpstart the healing process.
We will not see patients for shockwave therapy alone - we will perform all our initial comprehensive assessments prior before determining whether you are eligible.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask our team on 8844 7054!
