COVID-19 UPDATE: Things are looking up!

It’s been a long month since the Stage 1 lockdown announced at the end of March. Since then, 2 Right Feet Podiatry had semi-closed and only accepted to see patients in-person if they required hands-on treatment that, if not attended to, would result in the patient attending the ED or filling up our GP clinics.

As the rates of infection and deaths have steadied and our wider community is now more cautious and self-aware of the situation, we are pleased to announce that 2 Right Feet Podiatry is able to accept patients in-person with lighter restrictions. This just means, if you would have otherwise been refused an in-person consultation and asked to do an online appointment, you now are able to attend in-person provided that:

  1. You have NOT travelled overseas in the past 14 days;

  2. You are NOT experiencing any respiratory symptoms (temperature, fever, cough etc);

  3. You HAVE NOT been tested positive for COVID-19, or been in contact with someone who has been tested positive.

Please note that at this time, we are still not accepting any walk-ins. All patients must pre-book in order to be seen by a practitioner.

Please be rest assured that we are still taking significant measures to ensure stringent infection control measures in the clinic. If you have an appointment, we kindly request that you stay in your vehicle and wait for us to text (SMS) you that we are ready prior to you entering the clinic. When you enter, please also use the hand sanitiser provided and then come straight into my consultation room. This then allows us to help you minimise contact between other patients seeing other practitioners in the clinic.

Infection control measures that we have put in place following COVID-19:

  • Spacing out our chairs in the waiting room to ensure appropriate distancing;

  • Hand sanitiser is recommended to be used before and after your appointment and lives in the waiting room;

  • Removal of towels and pillows (will not be using them at all, sorry if you don’t feel as comfortable as usual!);

  • Wiping down all doorknobs, pens and the EFTPOS machine after every patient;

  • All 2 Right Feet Podiatry patients will be requested to be seated in their vehicle until notified, so we can minimise contact between patients;

Infection control measures that I upkeep pandemic or no pandemic:

  • Adhering to the 5 moments of hand hygiene (and more);

  • Opening my consulting door for you;

  • Wiping all my surfaces with medical-grade sanitisation wipes in between each consultation;

  • Only using sterilised instruments;

  • Wearing gloves when treating your skin and nail care;

  • Wearing a mask during treatments;

  • Vacuuming in between each consultation.

If you have pain in your legs or feet, but we have deemed that we can manage it through Online Consultations (through my practice management system, Cliniko), I will still be able to give you care through:

  • exercise prescription advice

  • write referrals for radiographic imaging

  • teach you how to tape your feet/legs at home

  • guide you on how to self-treat (or teach your children/partner to treat you!)

I am now also offering 15 minutes FREE consultations for those who prefer to self-isolate at home but are unsure that an online appointment would suit them. This is also great for those who have a question they’re uncertain about but may not need hands-on assessment. You can book easily by giving Jasmine a call on 0499 999 828 or by clicking the ‘Book Now’ button below:
